Changing Voice from Passive to Active Without Object /  Passive Voice to Active :   Part -- 1 

ইংরেজিতে এমন কিছু  Sentence আছে, যেগুলো সচরাচর Passive হিসেবেই  ব্যবহার করা হয় । এগুলোকে Active    করতে হলে প্রায়ই একটা সমস্যা অনুভব করে অনেক শিক্ষার্থী , কারন এ ধরনের Sentence গুলোতে কোন  Object থাকে না , যাকে Subject করে Active    এ রুপান্তর  করা যায় । তাই এ ধরনের  ক্ষেত্রে মানানসই একটি Subject  তৈরি করে নিতে হয় । 

Here is the Examples :

1. Pas :  Many trees were uprooted.

    Ac :  A cyclone uprooted many trees.

2. Pas : Many trees have been uprooted.

   Ac  :  The cyclone / A storm has uprooted many trees.

3. Pas : My pen has been lost.

   Ac  :  I have lost my pen.

4. Pas : My pen was stolen.

    Ac : Someone stole my pen.

5. Pas :  The ship was burnt.

    Ac : Fire burnt the ship.

6. Pas : The ship has been burnt.

    Ac : Fire has burnt the ship. 

7. Pas : I was asked my name.

   Ac  :  The Headmaster asked me my name.

8. Pas : I shall be obliged/ compelled to go.

    Ac  :  Circumstances will oblige/ compel me to go.

9. Pas :  Rome was not built in a day.

   Ac  :  The Romans did not build Rome in a day.

10. Pas :  Arabic is spoken in Saudi Arabia .

     Ac  :  People in Saudi Arabia speak Arabic.

      Or,    People speak Arabic in Saudi Arabia.   

11.  Pas :  English is spoken all over the world.

       Ac  : People speak English all over the world.

      Or,  People all over the world speak English. 

12. Pas :  The criminals were caught.
      Ac  : The police caught the criminals.

13. Pas :  The thief  has been arrested.
      Ac  :  The police has  arrested the thief.


14. Pas  : Rome was not built in a day.
      Ac :  The Romans did not build Rome in a day.

15. Pas : This club was established in 2018.
     Ac  :  They established this club in 2018.

16. Pas : He was murdered at day light.
     Ac  : Someone murdered him at day light.

17. Pas :  I had been invited to the party.
      Ac :  They had invited me to the  party.

18. Pas : The letter has just been posted.
      Ac  :  The bearer has just posted the letter.

19.  Pas :  Nothing can be gained without labour .
      Ac   :  We/ One can gain nothing without labour.

20.  Pas : He is called a liar.
      Ac  :  People call him a liar.
